The L.A. County Arboretum and Botanic Garden is a unique 127-acre botanical garden and historical site that includes Native American, Rancho Period and late 19th-century treasures. They offer concerts, tours, educational activities and other events that cater to a variety of audiences. The onsite Arboretum Library contains a comprehensive collection of resources on gardening, botany, California native plant life, environmental issues and agriculture. Docent-let field trips are available October-May for students in grades 3-6. PreK-12 teachers can also make reservations for self-guided tours.
