The California African American Museum focuses on the art, culture and history of African Americans with an emphasis on California and the Western United States. The Museum has a permanent collection with contemporary works as well as traditional African art. Docent-led tours are offered Tuesday-Saturday and can be scheduled by calling the phone number listed above. Teachers can also apply once a year for a scholarship to cover the cost of one bus and one docent-led tour.
