The Community Teen Program provides an opportunity for high school students who love science to support community education and develop public speaking, customer service, workforce preparedness and leadership skills. Junior interns (students currently enrolled in their sophomore year) interact with guests of all ages, doing cart presentations and hands-on activities in various exhibits in the museum. Teen interns work five days a week (days vary) and earn $9.00 an hour. Senior interns (currently enrolled juniors) are trained to serve as mentors and teaching assistants for the Curator Kids Club, a science enrichment program for kids ages 11-13.
Currently enrolled high school sophomore or junior with a minimum 2.0 GPA
Ability to work 5 days a week in June & July
Positive, enthusiastic attitude and strong work ethic
Preference given to applicants who live within one mile of the California Science Center

The College Prep Academy is a year-long series of workshops designed by college admissions specialists to help students in grades 7-12 become highly qualified candidates for admission at colleges or universities of their choice. CPA workshops are held monthly (on Saturdays or Sundays) on the USC campus. There is a registration fee of $25 per session.
Students in grades 7-12 with an interest in going to college
