2011 Teacher Awards Nominations, due 4/1

Do you know a teacher who goes beyond the call of duty? Nominate them for ECCLA/USCs 2011 Teacher Award! Two $500 cash awards are given, and all nominees will be honored at the Natural History Museum in May. Award nominations are due by April 1, 2011.

ECCLA/CA Retired Teachers Association Senior Scholarships, due 4/8

Three graduating high school seniors are eligible to win $1,000 through the Higher Education Scholarship funded by both ECCLA and the California Retired Teachers Association. Students must provide an original essay, transcript, two letters of recommendation, and a completed application. The deadline is April 8, 2011.

Attention teachers! Have a great class project idea? Founded by teachers for teachers in 1933, the California Credit Union (CCU) seeks to support educators by funding innovative learning opportunities for their students. CCU will award up to twenty (20) $500 Teacher Grants.
The Big Draw Returns to L.A. During Month of October

State Controller LA Summer Internship
The Office of State Controller John Chiang is now accepting summer intern applications for its Los Angeles office. This is a non-paid internship. There will be two six-week sessions offered. Additionally, all interns must attend a mandatory orientation. The application deadline is April 23, 2012.
