Liaison Program

ECCLA held focus groups with teachers to determine what information they receive now about museum, college and community resources, the forms they prefer to receive information in, and what factors influence whether or not they act on that information.

The overwhelming response was that teachers don’t have a regular source of information about local resources, and that they (like most people) pay greatest attention to something pointed out or shared with them by a colleague.  This led to the formation of ECCLA’s School Liaison program, in which designated liaisons receive information from ECCLA and distribute it to their colleagues by email, flyers in mailboxes or posts in the teachers lounge.
