Deadline: May 1, 2016
The Summer Academies in the Arts offer high school and middle school students intensive college and career preparation in the arts, self-confidence and leadership. Students receive practical and technical instruction in small classes taught by graduate instructors, professionals in the field and, in some cases, UCI faculty. Students ages 14 and older have the opportunity to experience life on campus as an undergraduate arts major through the residential program, which includes facilities access, housing, meals, 24 hour supervision and evening and weekend activities. Qualifying juniors and seniors may also receive university credit for participating in a Summer Academy course, for an additional fee. Students with demonstrated financial need qualify for partial scholarships if admitted to the program.
